Challenges

I have been transferred to my current section nearly one month. Nothing I could do in there so far. There are many outstanding challenges in the section such as staff issue, workflow redesign, guidelines and regulations set-up, etc. However, the first step I need to do is to gain familiar witht the new system so that I will not be deceived by others.

Management Seminar 2005

The SCD Management Seminar 2005 was held on 20-21/Mar in Macau. This is the first time I join this kind of seminar as a helper. The seminar is quite similar to some activities I held during my study. The most different things is all of the participants are managers. And our MD gave a fruitful speech for all of us!
Although all participants are managers, they enjoy the seminar just similar to all of us. Some of them are enjoy all programs very much while some of them are not willing to do anything in the one and half days. Anyway, the most impressive thing I got from the seminar is: I have to improve my English as soon as possible!!!

Broken Glass

A small crack was created accidentally by cleaning staff in a newly received glass two years before. When I had to move my thing to my new desk, I cannot find it again in the next day - Because the same thing happened more seriously this time! The whole glass was broken. Perhaps it should be broken when there was a crack. Perhaps it should not be used when there was a crack. Perhaps it should be protected as a special souvenir in my life...

Virus!?

I took nearly 2 hours to turn on my computer tonight. At the beganing, I could turn it on for 3 minutes and then it restarted itself again and again. I thought there are some loosen connections due to the high humidity so I unplugged and plugged all connections again.
After I plugged all connection, the situation got worse. My computer could not load the boost sector and showed a virus warning. Then I tried to unplug and plug the wire again. It turn on again! To place save, I scanned my computer once and it caused an hour again. It is quite difficult o turn on my computer tonight...

Memory

After most of the bosses had left their offices on Sat, I started to remove my things from my old seat. I found I had left many memories in there. Project papers, event souvenirs, photos, calendars and schedules, etc. All of them can recall my 2 years memories. I tried to sit in the old seat to call back my happiness and sadness. That is really difficult to forget...

I tried to join a travel agent talk today. Although I though it is useless and cannot provide me much benefit to join such kind of talk, I still went there because I did not experience it before. Even the result was similar to what I have expected. But I still think I got something from there and it is worth to spend sometimes to know more about the advertising method of travel agent. Haha...

New Job Appointment

I was transferred to another section today. Although my job title was changed, all terms and salary were remain unchanged. This is the third time the company offer an under-paid position to me. However, this also let me feel better if I leave it in short future. I really think I have to work harder in job hunting and escape from current company.

Photo Taking

The new photo taking class was started today! There are many people in the class (perhaps the reason is today is the first lesson). There are 4 photo taking chances in the class so that I can have more chances to gain more from the experienced instructor.
Although the first class is very short because the instructor started late and talked so many background. He explained the uses of different lens in different situation interested me and really want to try what he said now!

Sport Day

Today is my sport day. I woke up at around 11:30. After having my lunch with father, I went to UST to play tennis with one of my friend. We also went to the gym for around 45 minutes after tennis. Yes, we stay in the gym quite short in time because both of us feel tired after playing tennis.
After taking a rest, I went back to home and go out again for basketball with other friends in mongkok. The most unluckily thing happened before we start. It was raining! We arrived the court at around 19:45. Although the ground was wet, most of us feel it is not worth to leave without playing ball game. Then, we started to play basketball on a wet floor until 22:30. Therefore, I really feel very tired today!

Annual Dinner

Tonight is my company's annual dinner. Although some of my friends had left the company, this year is a little bit different than the previous years. As I would be transferred to another section, tonight would be the last year for me to sit in the same table together with the current colleagues. In addition, this would be the last year for me to have the annual dinner at this company because of my current job hunting action. Moreover, my team got a gold medal in a election is quite surprising for me too!

終於到了正月十五，是開利是的時候！
今年的「收穫」比去年多，終於超過一百大關！

睇醫生

腸胃炎幾日，一o的都無轉好過，
今日終於去返睇開o個個醫生睇，
拎埋未食曬o既藥去睇佢，
比佢睇完之後，佢話：
「呢d只不過係消化餅(藥)，完全無消炎作用。」
「d藥完全無針對你個病。」

聽完呆左一陣，跟住覺得之前係公司附近睇o個個醫生真係好唔掂，
草菅人命！我呢幾日咁辛苦做乜！？
唉... 但係而家諗下，我都要食多一、兩日藥，
先可以知究竟邊個醫生唔掂...

(I think using Chinese can express my feeling easier, although I think I should practice English writing more)

Gastroenteritis

When I try to buy breakfast this morning, I have a strange feeling of my stomach. I just think I didn't wake up totally at the morning and ignore the strange feeling. However, the feeling become more serious at noon and I even don't want to move anymore. I think I got gastroenteritis again and went to see doctor at lunch time. After this, I did nothing at office... (that is the first working day after LNY)

今日仲有個好好o既數字 - 52！？
代表乜？收到利是的數量是也！！！

真至今天為止，今年己收到99封利是！
好！今年終於可以超過一百封利是，直係利利是是！
(我諗下一年不可能收到這麼多了，一是轉工的關係，一是轉部門的關係)

Floats Show

There are Floats Show in HK Island 20:00-21:30 tonight and I planned to watch it. I had arrived Convention Avenue at around 19:45. But there are too crowdy so that I cannot stand find a acceptable place to watch the show. So I can only leave there.

The lucky thing is - I met 4 different people tonigth!!! I met one of my boss inside Sogo before the show. Met a secondary school-mate after the show. Met a department-mate after a drink. Met another university-mate after playing game. How can this so strange! I never try to meet others that frequently in single day. This is really a special year!

Constantine

Went to watch Constantine last night with friends. The movie advertisement is quite good but the movie is quite weak in story presentation. Perhaps the original movie is quite good in story line and it was cut according to the movies length. I think some parts should explain a bit more.

Photo-taking & Shopping

Although the weather is not very well, I have gone to Mongkok LNY Market and "Bird Street" for photo-taking. I also tried how powerful of a F1.4 lens and really want to own a F1.4 lens later.

After the photo-taking activity, I also went to buy my new bag for work. (I did not bring anything to office after I lost my bag). In positive thinking point of view, I feel quite free that I leave my home with nothing on hand during this two weeks! However, the fact is all things I like to bring along with me were lost! Hahaha...

In addition to my bag, I bought a small bag for carrying my D70 body so that I can bring it out without a camera bag. I also bough a new tie. And my friend said, "One of the advantages of having no girl friend is -- you can treat yourself better!" Hahaha...

Basketabll Match and Dinner

Some collesgues and I had a departmental basketball match tonight. We got 9:1 at the begining but finally lose the game with 23:26. We played the game quite poor and all of us cannot perform as we are. I felt not very good about my team-mates discussion topic after the match.

I joined one of our contractors' annual dinner tonight. This is the third time I joined her annual dinner. Some colleagues had joined my current company at the same day with me also joined the dinner in the past two years. However, most of them were left the company already...

Basketball gathering!

Having a basketball gathering with old school-mates last night, I really enjoy the games with them. I did not meet them for more than 3 months. In fact, there are quite few gatherings after our graduation. And hope we can keep in touch and have more gathering in future.
